Some complaints within these reviews make me think, “Whhaaa..?”. It’s Adobo Rice — of course it contains chili, and peppers, and etc, etc. Hello? Look it up. Silly people.

Spicy – not hot – and actually filling. I like it. I can’t say it’s the absolute best Mountain House has to offer (they’ve some great products, besides), but it is quite tasty, and I’d certainly purchase it, again.

I have recently been considering starting an emergency supply of food. I watched many YouTube comparisons between various brands .They had mentioned mountain house and how it was the premier product and wasn’t even involved in the comparisons. I did some more research and decided to try a same meal . My wife and I made this one and I have to say I was very impressed with the quality .

I will be ordering more .

We took a few off grid camping. Easy as hell to make, add hot water. We’re a bit old so we tend to share big meals. One pouch was enough easily for both. As for taste. Did I say HECK YA!
Very tasty. Good value since we eat one. Oh ya, also No Dishes to wash. Will be doing this more.

This stuff tastes GOOD! Really tastes like a nice Mexican rice and chicken meal. Mountain House tastes the most like real home cooked food. The only other brand that comes close to the home cooked flavor that Mountain House has is Peak Refuel. Those two brands have the closest thing to restaurant quality food. I’ve never had a bad Mountain House meal, or Peak Refuel. I just wish this stuff wasn’t so expensive! But if you’re looking for some really good Mexican rice and beans and chicken, you can’t go wrong with this stuff! It’s even better than I thought, and I wish I bought more when it was on sale!!😁👍👍

Over taste was ok. Couldn’t get passed the gritty pinto bean that would never rehydrate properly. After the 5th bad bean encounter, I ended up digging out the remaining bean so I could eat it. Tested those beans in new boiled water for another 10 minutes still no go. The second Mountain House flavor I wouldn’t spend money on now. Other was chicken breast with mashed potatoes. Chicken was fine but 3 of 3 pouches , the mash potatoes had an off metallic taste I couldn’t get passed.

This particular meal had way too much chili powder it it for my taste, and I like spicy food. It was filling. I will not buy this particular flavor again.
